A most unique Peruvian sojourn calls to the adventurous spirit! We shall journey to Southern Peru, where we'll traverse a lake at an astonishing 12,000 feet above sea level, making our way to Peru's famed floating islands. Our lodgings will be on these remarkable man-made structures as we engage in ministry with the diverse tribes residing throughout the lake region. This is a rare opportunity to experience a truly distinctive culture and landscape while spreading the good news of the Gospel!
TRIP MOMENTS
Day 1 - Travel day.
Day 2 - Land in Juliaca, Peru. Get groceries and sail to floating islands. Setup camp, meet locals, rest.
Day 3 - Island ministry. Travel to multiple islands, share the Gospel, house-to-house visits.
Day 4 - Island ministry.
Day 5 - Leave the islands in the morning and drive 3 hours to the hotel in Putina. Rest for the night in prep for early morning.
Day 6 - Travel at 4:00 a.m. to 17,000 feet in elevation to La Rinconada. Ministry all day and then drive to Juliaca in the evening.
Day 7 & 8 - Travel home.
