Hi there! My name is Jayliene Bonilla. I am a singer, songwriter, journalist, storyteller, and missionary—but more than anything, I am a follower of Jesus and a traveler of the narrow path.
Growing up as a pastor’s kid, I saw firsthand what it meant to love people from all backgrounds with the heart of Christ. Even as a child, I was drawn to the road less traveled—the places few dare to go, the stories few stop to hear, and the lives often overlooked. Ministry, for me, was never meant to stay inside four walls. It was always meant for the streets, the villages, and the far corners of the world.
I didn’t realize it then, but God was planting a seed—a call to missions. Now, at 26 years old, that call burns stronger than ever. I am determined to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth—wherever He sends me, whatever it takes.
After graduating from Lee University in 2023, I spent the past two years serving for weeks at a time in Mozambique through Far-Flung Tin Can. During two extended trips, I taught English, built and led a worship team, taught music, served in a local church, taught youth discipleships, and worked in a children’s program that shares the love of Christ with hundreds of kids. Those experiences opened my eyes to the deep hunger for hope, truth, and discipleship in the community I served.
Each time I returned, God deepened His call in my heart. Now, I have fully surrendered to that call: to live and serve full-time in Mozambique as a Far Flung missionary.
As I step into this next season, I am inviting you to partner with me. I am currently building a team of monthly supporters—individuals, families, and churches—who feel called to invest in missions and help send me to the field.
I truly believe that missions is not a solo calling—it’s a team effort. Your monthly partnership, giving, and prayers matter!
Your support is greatly appreciated!
